I woke up this morning to find my MKGlam VoxBox on my front porch. I love Influenster and this will be my second box since joining in January. The box has "MARY KAY" really big all over the box, which is nice but let's be honest... I do not live in the kind of neighborhood that you wanna leave ANYTHING of any value anywhere outside. That aside, it was well packaged just like you would expect from Influenster. Big Deal, right?
Let's get to the good stuff!
So, I opened my box, moved past the pink paper to find a, larger than expected assortment of Mary Kay products. So, the 6 year old in me takes over and starts rooting thru the box finding treasure after treasure. I was shocked, really. Let's just pretend I didn't have a metric shit-ton of makeup already. Just the contents of the box would of had me set. Aside from primer, foundation and a highlighter, it came with everything. I got the "Lash Love" definition mascara, mineral cheek color in "Shy Blush", the gel eyeliner in "Jet Black" with the extending liner brush, cream eye color in "Apricot Twist", translucent face powder (which i am most excited to try. Love my face powders since I make Vampires look tan), a light/medium bronzing powder, the "Nourishing Plus" lip gloss in "Mango Tango", as well as a blush brush and eyeshadow/concealer brush. Umm, yeah.... i probably could have presented that in a better way but whatever. I was like, GAWD DAYUM! I haven't tried anything out just yet. It's a pajama kind of day for your girl.
Can I be honest?
I have a "darker" style but i do all kinds of things with my makeup. I love testing new looks and trying new products. I have never even considered giving Mary Kay a shot. I remember when I was younger, my mom used to be a Rep for them. We had SO much just laying around the house. This is back when i had just started wearing makeup and it was usually just a bunch of black smeared all over my eyes and glitter lip gloss. Classy little 11 year old, am I right? So, i did not like Mary Kay products. They didn't give me the desired look of "I'm reallyyyy sad". It has always come across to me as an "older" womans type of product. Needless to say, I am excited to see what they have to offer as a company and to see if they really are keeping up with the joneses. Ya dig?
SO!
I am going to put them to the test and write a new blog about what I think! :)
